I've kept quiet on this thread but can't do so any longer!
I hate football and lost the will to watch it when they dressed the goalie in different colours to the rest of the team, because I didn't know what end the ball should have been going to.
I have a family at Leicester who are all mad on it and support Leicester City through thick and thin, just as they will support England.
I really cannot believe that so many of you find SOMEONE ELSE flying a flag on their car, or house during a few weeks of a once in four years event, objectionable. ( or chavy)
And I know that's grammatically incorrect too!
Why is it so distasteful? It's their enjoyment and surely everyone is entitled to show their support of our national team in any way they want to.
I know I'll get accused of having a chip on my shoulder, but I'd like to bet it's something to do with it being the most popular sport of the working class people of this country.
It's no different to anyone walking around in a F1 Paddock Jacket.
There's far more to get worked up about than a few flags flying from cars, and most of the people who complain also complained that we don't celebrate St Georges Day in England.
It's listening to JV at lunchtime that really wound me up about this.
Now, if you really want to put all your hot air to good use, can I suggest you contact your local political party and demand they remove their Election posters from around our beautiful countryside!
