The word is discreet, Ted. And that old car of yours is British to de bone, innit?
I take a middling view of all this flagwaving and inflammation. People do dearly love their footer and feelings run awfully high. It's hard to witness an important national game without feeling some emotional tug, surely? Of course some people are cooler than I am.
As for the vulgarity of the England bunting and regalia, surely that isn't much of a problem? I mean those rough and chavved-up motors would be just as socially identifiable without them. People are talking as if the flags showed some new, hitherto unsuspected depth of depravity in ordinary knockabout English blokes with tattoos, white vans and an assortment of motors, a bit like us really.
