As a pre pandemic attendee at CLP meetings my observation is that you're well off beam there.
Quite a lot of the lefties are youngsters who think a wholeheartedly Socialist manifesto would rock Millennials and Gen Z and drag us over the line. It might do in a youthful London constituency but it won't win back Sunderland.
