My sister in law (Chilean) was in London for the Tube Bombings. It was all a bit dramatic and traumatic but the overwhelming story which she tells time and time again is that 2 hours after it all happened the Brits were in the pubs, and the next morning things carried on as if nothing had ever happened.
And about the old woman interviewed who said "F*** them, they're not going to change our lives".
I wonder if we'd impress her so much if it happened again tomorrow.
