From what I gather, most of the fast fit places use plug and play machines.

If you've got something to measure the temperature, providing you've got approx. 5 deg C coming out the dash vents then there can't be much wrong with it.

If your system is weak through corrosion or stone damage to the condenser, you have to factor in whether regassing the AC system will put additional stresses on those weakened components.
