Agree. Major route from West Yorks to East Coast resorts that was extensively but not comprehensively dualled in 1980s. Pretty fast from Leeds to York though.

Yep it's mainly a DC but it's busy a lot of the time, it's commuter route from york to leeds. Must have been unusally quiet to crack those sort of speeds. Not been on there in a while mind.

We ought to give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe they misheard him, he probably said "I was only trying to do 160 mph"
