My grandpa is not on the list but then I guess he is not famous, like all the other people I know who have died, several under the age of 40 :(.

Sir David Jack - miner's son who developed the products that saved millions of people and made Glaxo £billions

Sir David Jack, who has died aged 87, was the scientific brain behind the rise of the pharmaceuticals company Glaxo and credited with the discovery of no fewer than seven highly important drugs, among them salbutamol (marketed as Ventolin), which has saved the lives of millions of asthmatics, and Zantac, used to treat peptic ulcers.

 Who Else Croaked in 2011 - devonite
Met and shook his hand just after i started work at Glaxo in 1985, seemed to be a "quiet, intent sort of guy". We had just opened a plant to make one of the main ingredients of Zantac, and he came for a tour!
