Inspired by the discussion on pragmatic back to basics stuff and ST's comments in the thread on the other side....how about this ?
Even Norton couldn't fail to be impressed. If it wasn't for recent expenses I'd be mightily tempted....

Six grand for a 15-year-old Jap trail bike that's been tinkered with.
It should be in the pragmatics thread.

But look at it iffy - pared down to the basics - function over form, engineering over looks....be worth the same in 5 years...

Yup.... Very nice!
Just off to look for cosmetically challenged Honda nx650's on the 'Bay..... ;-)

You need a 3 series 3.0 petrol M Sport estate more than that...You know you want to...

My wife just stuck her finger in an empty tree light bulb socket with the power on. Katherine Jenkins couldn't have hit a note like that. Heh heh !
Yeah, best go and help her...

...Katherine Jenkins...
Bet she'd look good in 3D.

I'm with you Rob re: the Bike. As Eddie Cochrane said........"Something Else"
|
I like it, all neatly done. With the exception of the front wheel/tyre... Is that heftier than desirable? Maybe it's a desert sled? I'm no expert on off-road bikes. The only time I took mine onto a farm track I got scared when I got up to 40mph. Oooer, daren't brake, and it all felt as though it was going to get out of hand when I hit the next undulation....
|
I thought that as well, slightly disproportionate - wonder how much it weighs ? Did some off-roading (to a farm) on the old GS - not for the feint hearted...!
