GREAT SUCCESS! - Ian (Cape Town)
This dropped in my mailbox.

Hello Ian,

Following our earlier conversation, I hereby confirm the interview with Wing Commander Andy Green for Tuesday, 22 November 2011, at 11h00 at the Hollow on the Square Hotel.
I’ve also registered you for the Lecture to be held at UCT at 18h00 for 18h15.

I've met Andy Green, a very likeable guy. I think he's doing a lecture tour of SA?

Spant an incredibly educational and enlightening (and amusing) hour with the gentleman last week.
Now, plan 'b' - organising a trip up to Haksteen Pan for the event - even if it only for some of the trial runs - for a few weeks in February 2013.
So far about a few dozen like-minded souls from Cape Town and Jhb have said they are up for it - including a few race car mechanics, racing drivers and various other petrolheads. Convoy from the cities, emeet up in the middle of the desert.
Preliminary planning has so far turned up a few 4x4s, some tents, general camping gear, and a source close to the track where beer can be purchased in vast quantities.
So... anyone feel like a trip over this side for a 'gentlemen's adventure'
I think as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, it is not to be missed.
Form an orderly queue, please.
