Yet another received today. This one has a one-inch crack from the centre and won’t play. I know Lovefilm will replace it without penalty to me and will even send an extra one as well, but it happens increasingly. They say they check disks back in carefully so they must be damaged in transit to customers. They are tough and must suffer extreme abuse. Does anyone else have this increasing problem or is it just my sorting office at work?

The last few I've had from them have had problems. They blamed my dvd player.... everything of mine plays perfectly.
I'd tell them you're thinking of cancelling as you keep getting duff disks. I had the same film being duff twice. Really annoying.

What are you doing using physical medium? Get an internet connected DVD player for less than 100 quid, and subscribe to lovefilm and stream films.

>> stream films.
How many GB for a typical film?

When I had a Lovefilm subscription (free for 3 months) there online movies available were far more limited than the physical media. Has it changed?

Tried their film streaming service once - thought the quality was poor.
The rental films through itunes are better quality

about 1.5 to 2gb streamed, and thats HD

Not bad. Say 1GB per hour = 8Gb per 60mins = just over 2Mb/s.

Must have rented over 200 films from Love. Can only recall 1 disc that was unplayable. Always clean discs before playing. Tried streaming video but quality nowhere near as good as disc
