Accuracy 90%. Specialist subject words, but still managed to get one wrong. Answered 20 altogether, 2 wrong answers.

If I hadn't been feeling rushed I wd have got 19 right probably. One does slow down a bit with age and these modern mouse pads are harder - slower - for me to operate than proper mice. I did very poorly indeed on the 'Are you going gaga?' test for the same reasons.
Something for the weekend - R.P.
86% in the history section. 14 out of 16.
Something for the weekend - R.P.
86% in Words !
Something for the weekend - Meldrew
14 out of 15 = 93% on art. Might have answered more questions (and got more wrong!) if I had been using a mouse rather than a touch-pad
Something for the weekend - Zero
Are you boys doing half a quiz here?
Something for the weekend - Manatee
16/18 on Science. 13/16 on GK.
Something for the weekend - Meldrew
Yes - sorry! My brain hurts and I have got to cook a meal!
Something for the weekend - borasport
14 out of 16 on food & drink
15 out of 17 on general knowledge

I've always been interested in the general pub quiz sort of thing and got asked to join a team that plays in a 'proper' quiz league a year or two ago - proper quizzers don't half take things seriously
It's a bit intimidating playing against the man who was the first to get the connection from the first clue on 'Only Connect', or somebody else who was a semi-finalist team captain on the same show, or somebody else who's just been on Eggheads, or indeed 'The Governess' from the Chasers

We won the league, but I'm just apassenger - this guy pretty much carried us -

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Gibson

and the stuff he knows is just soooooooo impressive
Something for the weekend - Meldrew
Even with those who have copped out and only done 1/2 I think it fair to say there are some knowledgeable people here! Good scores. None of the horrors heard on the Weakest Link ie Q What was Gandhi's first name? A Goosey!!!!!

(Science 19 out of 29 but not a good GK score!)

Slower would have meant a better % but probably lower total score - the name of the game is highest score, not accuracy!

I would dearly love to know what the Cornish flag has to do with science.....

Still, not too upset with 20/24. Bloomin' biology!

20 / 20 on Pop (wasted some time at the beginning try to find the button for next question, and no mouse).

Less well on Gen Knowledge - got flustered at the end

Overall: 32 / 36, accuracy 89%

Guessed some of the questions, which is easier with a choice of only 4.

Here's an another one - a bit easier!

My excuse is I didn't realise the clock had started.
Something for the weekend - Manatee
What clock?
Something for the weekend - PhilW
Done the Mastermind quiz several times and seem to be stuck on 83% - always better on GK than my specialist knowledge (Geog). I don't care what any of you got, what is really galling is that Mrs W always beats me - she keeps getting 100% on her specialist subject (Art) and ends up with 88 to 90% overall. I'm off to peel the spuds - at least she reckons I'm quite good at that!
Something for the weekend - Manatee
Try the other "specialist" subjects Phil - they don't seem that specialised to me. I profess no special knowledge of Art or Grub but got full house on both.

Onlyconnect is a much better way to waste your time.

I played Connecting Wall 85
Click the link below
www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00lskhg/flash/quiz/#wall85

Use my time as a target 2.02 for all 4 sets - and I got 3 of 4 connections

If you have not seen the program it is probably worth doing some practice examples before getting competitive.
Something for the weekend - Focusless
Fair amount of chance as well of course - after 20/20 for Pop and 12/16 GK the first time (89%), I just had another go and got 14/17 and 14/18 (80%).
Something for the weekend - Manatee
Focus, are you suggesting I might not be a Mastermind?
Something for the weekend - Focusless
>> Focus, are you suggesting I might not be a Mastermind?

Good gracious no Manatee - I'm sure you have a brain the size of a planet. I was just expressing my disappointment at not being the Pop Mastermind I thought I was following my earlier round. Must be human after all.

Of course the most realistic Mastermind game was this one, requiring guessing the hidden combination of coloured plastic pegs:
