Advert for a 2005 Ford Mondeo 1999 cc Ghia Auto [Rear PDC]
What does Rear PDC mean and also what does TCP in the text mean?

Thanks

PDC = Park Distance Control - ie parking sensors..

TCP = Traction Control Program

Thanks to you both.

Car adverts are often odd IMO. Key features missed and standard ( on all cars) items spelt out.
In this case Saloon not PDC should be in the headline but they do include airbag in the spec.
I will carry on searching for hens teeth.

And on a Mondeo of that age I'd say parking sensors are mostly irritating.... no real idea of how close various bits of the rear (or front) are to something. Maybe reading the manual helps?

At least on a VW the sound is different for front/rear. Plus there's the visual display too.

e.g.

IIRC the Ford system is similar (if not identical) to the VW one ? Certainly in a Galaxy the front/rear tones are different - as with VAG cars the visual display depends on other equipment which is fitted (e.g. satnav) and (IMHO) is irrelevant anyhow as PDC doesn't obviate the need to look where you're going.....
