Renault Master - 04 3.0 diesel. Won't start up after engine rebuild - wes
Initially the vehilce over heated.
The Vehicle has since been stripped down and head skimmed. A new head gasket and bolts has been fitted.
All been put back together again but now it wont run.
Any ideas???

I would suggest bleeding the fuel system through to the injectors. Crack off one injector pipe at a time while cranking the engine until fuel comes through.

>>Initially, the vehicle overheated.

How do you know this?

Why did the engine overheat? Have you addressed this problem?, or will it happen again after the rebuild?

The head has been off - why? what did you find while the head was off?

What was the condition of the pistons and the cylinders?

Now you've rebuilt it.

What method did you use to time the cam?

What sort of fuel system does the engine have? Does it need to be timed? If so, how did you do this?

If it's a common rail engine, what is the rail pressure while cranking?

If you get this far, and you have fuel at the injectors, the next step is to check the compressions.
