I agree. Nothing beats an Airstream as a shedavan, except possibly a genuine gipsy caravan.
The best of all I think was the old American railway carriage that used to be on display at the American Museum near Bristol. It was either the authentic one that Lincoln used on his electioneering tours, or a genuine contemporary.
It had been withdrawn when I was there last year, for repair I hope.
Ours is just a £50 Sprite Alpine from about 1970. We have gradually stopped using it for real holidays, so it is gradually turning into another static summer house in the garden.
