Latest Firefox update V6.0 - bathtub tom
This is now available, but it's telling me photobucket uploader 1.3.2 and AVG safesearch 10.0.0.1390 will be disabled.

I use both of these. Do you reckon I should forget the update for a while?

There are at least two add ons that can disable the disabler! Did a search for "firefox add-on comparability" and got a different one suggested than the one I have on the PC upstairs.

I believe its a quite simple as Firefox just looks for certification that the version is supported by the add-on you want to add. The compatibility add-on just allows you to negate the check. I did cos I have an add-on that is not v5 certified.

I'll look for the name of the one I have later tonight if I remember...

Kept forgetting to look.

I'm using the "Add-on Compatibility Reporter". Works for me.

Given the number of updates to Firefox this year, they are obviously trying to get to "10" before Microsoft's IE

I only use Firefox for the Property-Bee plugin, which doesn't work by default in the new version.

I installed this

addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nightly-tester-tools/

and selected the option "Force Addon Compatibility" in the menu

I see no improvements in this version compared to FF 4.0 even.

It seems even slower!

Politely Chrome is rubbish! Or is for me.

It hides all the useful things in the spirit of Microsoft. Maybe it could be set to display them, but as the browser out of the box needed all sorts of additions to be any good to me I really could not be bothered.

Only retained as a check browser as I advise on a professional site and write a simple one for a scout group.

The new update is good but still firefox needs to work on its Tab design issues. It sucks.

What tab design issue?
I use FF as my main browser, and find it close to perfection.
