That's it. From now on I'm only ever going anywhere on the guided bus. I'm having my holiday at Cambridge Bus Station.

The bairn on the zebra crossing had me bricking it.

What makes Asia special.
I've seen things as good in the UK.
|
|
Yes, the fact the footage is from Asia is irrelevant. Just thought the crowd here would "enjoy" it, kill some time on a Friday!
|
Is the reason for so many dash cameras due to the amount of collisions they have out there?
The footage was very clear on most. It wouldn't be a bad idea if manufacturers fitted them to new cars as standard. Might sort out insurance claims quicker.

"t wouldn't be a bad idea if manufacturers fitted them to new cars as standard. Might sort out insurance claims quicker."
Its been debated many times but there are many totally against it.
personally I have them fitted in all my cars and on one occasion proved very worth while and even helped with a prosecution !
Great idea

Blimey, the man with the dash cam is really unlucky. Dont drive when he is about and you should be ok,
|
:-) "I've never had an accident but I've seen a few."
And the common denominator is????

DAMMIT, THAT WAS GOING TO BE MY JOKE! ;-)

I was in Jinan a couple of months back, an industrial hellhole about 1500km west of Shanghai. The company I was visiting was located in a brand new building at the side of an equally brand new 6 lane highway.
Our driver would pick us up in the evening and in order to take us back to our hotel had to turn left across all 6 lanes. The logical thing to do, of course, would have been to turn right, then do a U turn at the first set of traffic lights.
His technique was to turn left into whatever space appeared in the oncoming traffic in the first 3 lanes, then make his way across the oncoming traffic onto the correct side of the road. All the while beeping his horn and yapping into his mobile phone.
There is a massive police presence on the roads in China these days, though not yet enough to prevent scenarios like the one I described. I guess it's what happens when an economy goes from almost exclusively bike ownership to car ownership in less than a generation. 18 million new cars a year!

Inj. Doc,
Just curious.
How much to buy and fit. The clarity in those Asian shots were pretty good. Are the pictures recorded onto a hard drive or memory card.
|
|
Dogcam do these, they are the best, I have their bike kit
|
|
Is that for, like, dogging? Bit extreme on a bike I'd have thought.

Mr ECS
Roadhawk.co.uk Footage recorded onto a mem card. I use a 16 g card
The road-hawk also records time, date speed, and has a graph to record xyz axis in G force and it also records map location by GPS ! good bit of kit around £200.00
Too be honest less than most peoples excess.
Piece of cake to fit, I suspend mine as high as possible to the top of the screen so its not visable under the top tint so I never remove it ! just tuck the cable round the screen rubber and the side trims and under the door seal and behind the dash to the cig socket.
The best bit is switching it on when leaving my car parked ! now that's quite an eye opener ! especially in Tesco car park !
