My latest Rip Off Existing Customers award goes to...Churchill.
Home insurance quote via GoCompare for Iffy Towers: £129.
Renewal for same property: £255.
I can't be bothered even to negotiate.
Renewal offer declined, new policy set up with AXA for £140.

Nicole had her renewal for car insurance today, Aviva.
Its gone up by 20 quid.
That's the third time I have been pleasantly surprised by Aviva, its becoming a habit.

That's good. I'm guessing that £20 is a very small %age increase?

about 8%

Excellent! Inflation plus a little bit

Re Churchill renewal. As I've mentioned before, my home and contents insurance renewal went up by 50 per cent from £191 with Churchill earlier this year. Did a GoCompare check, Churchill was the lowest at £191(!), so rang them.
Within minutes the call centre operative said he could renew the policy for £181....:-) Result....

I've either got expensive content or a bad deal - and I got this year's insurance a lot cheaper! Perhaps it's accidental damage cover for contents and buildings too? Happy with the figure but a fair bit more than £181.

Building & contents including accidental, cover away from home etc. is 315 quid for Spamcan Towers.

The pair of you must live in areas with dodgy postcodes.
Move to the North East where everyone is law-abiding. :)
