Just a bit of friendly advice here. Don't go anywhere near Reading with a car until Wednesday morning.
Caversham Bridge is being resurfaced and is down to one lane each way, but the real doozie is that Caversham Road from the TGI roundabout to Richfield Avenue is completely shut for resurfacing.
Reading Council say that work is planned to complete by 10pm on Tuesday evening, but that they'll work through the night if they have to.
I just got caught up in the traffic on the IDR and it's not pretty. This work will cause snarl ups through the whole town centre, so avoid avoid avoid.
Whitchurch Bridge for me this evening and a leisurely pootle into Cavvers from the north (hopefully), despite working at a location due south of Reading all day.
Yours,
Smiley Miley

Glad I don't work there any more....
BTW, is it true that IDR stands for InDirect Route?
Always seems a long way to nowhere.....
