bringing it back to where we started, my mum eventually replaced the big Toyota Crown with a Mazda 323.

I've got a book here called "my dad had one of those"... full of boys toys like Triumph Stags, Lotus Cortinas, Capris, Citroen DS, Land Rovers, ... maybe I should start a "my mum had one of those" list which could no doubt have the following (at least these are what i remember by friends mums driving on the shool run)
