 Wash mitts - BobbyG
Well, since we managed to get an hour without rain today, thought I would wash the car.

Usually use a sheepskin fleece mitt thing but its past its best so found in my cupboard one of those green mitt things with the dangly bits.

My arm is now killing me! That thing is useless, dip it in the bucket and it instantly absorbs the whole bucket of water! Had to constantly wring it out and washing the car felt as if I was pushing weights around.

Think I will consign it to the "it was worth a try " drawer!

Right, I know that I am clutching at straws here in an attempt to try and find a silver lining, but...
If the mitt is THAT absorbent, could you use it for drying off the car, rather than washing it?

Is it a noodle one Bobby? If so they're ace for dusting inside the car. As you swipe them the electrostatic charge draws the dust towards it.

Is Noodles the technical term for green dangly bits????? :)

Dont need to dry the car.
Or to rephrase that, no point drying the car in Scotland!

Having said that, it has stayed dry since I washed it. That must be at least 6 hours without rain.
That will be our summer then!

You must live in a different world to the rest of us....:-)

As I've said, many times before, I wash my car just before it's due to rain (I live in a hard water area) and, after it's rained, it's left silky smooth finish wise and streak free.

But it is waxed to the limit....:-)

I washed the CC3 yesterday when it was raining so as to avoid having to chammy it.

I am astonished. But see that your water comes from the Dee, not the Lakes and so is indeed hard. www.unitedutilities.com/waterquality.aspx
