There are certainly some interesting comments after the DT article.

I have seen shops set up specifically to sell whiplash claim advice, as well as offering accident management advice, replacement plated taxis and cheap air tickets.

As one that has suffered severe whip lash after a serious road accident ! off work two years I can assure you that in genuine claims whip lash comes back to haunt you. I suffered my accident on a motorway in 2005 but get constant reminders still In fact I have just started teaching my youngest daughter to drive and after attempting two emergency stops my neck and back were ridgid for 2-3 days after!! really has suprised me ! I often thought those that had suffered dreamed up the symp[tons years later. Its people standard of driving that needs targeting and tailgatting outlawed ! including inattention.

i was advised years ago that if i was involved in a minor accident to ham up the injuries and get the old bill etc etc involved so that the other parties involved couldnt deny any responsibility at a later date with fancy legal cover on their insurance
