bit dissapointed with the painting of it though! - in spirit of the way he`s nearly had a go at making the things he needs himself, he was quite happy to use bog-standard shop-bought paint! he didn`t attempt to make his own, and .......dare i say, to me, it still looks drab! i was expecting more colourful gold-edged panels i expect! Narrowboaters often say "it's a contact sport", though in my opinion some take it to extremes! I was at Fradley Junction once, where Reckless apparently used to have a mooring, when a boater was trying to turn right from the Coventry canal into the lock on the Trent & Murky. The steerer could see he wasn't quite going to make it, and either pushed the throttle lever the wrong way or though that a bit more power would bring it round. it looks like a very badly thought out boat. nice lister engine with cheap nasty fittings done by bodgers on the cheap. the alan hurd one was better but at the other extreme and everything wass over specced and over priced Reply to this message | Report message
