Wikipedia has interesting stats.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automaker

Didn't know that China now makes most cars (surpassing both Japan & USA).

Top 5 makes are now - Toyota, GM, VW, Ford & Hyundai/Kia

shows how USA now produces 50% less cars compared to 2000.

I assume that by "most cars" you mean most brands of car. I couldn't find any evidence that, for example, any Focus models were produced in China.
