Ok, the first fallout of the boys banger.
Drivers electric window has failed, keeps sliding down. wont go up.
Pulling off the door panel reveals we have one loose bowden cable, one tight bowden cable.
I assume one of the bowden cables has come off the pulley at the back, but can see how to get the cables off to get the motor out and examine whats wrong.
Anyone been here, done that?

Well done Z, brought up a proper lad not afraid to get his hands dirty, could be a rare species the way things are going.
You'll have to wean him onto fixing yours next, as you (and the rest of us) plummet headlong in to our dotage.

Take it you'll be wire brushing the rust off the abandoned Merc this weekend GB in preparation foe attempting to get it running again?

There is no rust to wire brush off.
Anyway she's in having an LPG conversion as we speak, and the classic car workshops doing the deed are impressed by her lovely condition.
Back on the road with my lovely Helga middle of next week all being well.
Any sign of Betsy by the way, you must remember her shirley..;)

Should I christen my new motor Betsy II in honour of Humph's dearly departed...?
Actually mum's Mk3 Zephyr 4 was named Betsy back in the 70s/80s so I think it's appropriate. :)
