Has anyone heard from Dog lately; has he done a moonlight flit?
I hope not...

I think he took flight when someone questioned his rather left field canine thinking..

The old Dog still checks in daily Clk Sec, things going on @ the mo - had an offer on the house, had one of Espada 111's mob in (Surveyor) made an offer on a 'Quintessential Cornish Cottage' been looking to replace my 1.8 auto Almera with a 1.6 auto Mazda 3, preferably in black, dark Grey or silver.
Health-wise I'm fine & dandy - been reading up on Acupressure which originated in India c 3000bc and became Acupuncture by the time reached China via the Buddhist monks.
The book I'm reading explains the theory that you can tell what foodstuffs are beneficial to certain bodily organs by their shape, so - walnuts are good for your brain, cashews (and kidney beans) are good for your kidneys, almonds are good for your eyes, apples are good for your heart, and bananas are good for your ... (Ahem!)

...and bananas are good for your...
Ring donuts must be doubly good for the ladies.

Oh... I've always been partial to a ring donut when cruising the Sainsburys aisles!
|
Careful how you pack your donuts and bananas, you don't want an unwanted trifle.

I thought DD was pulling my leg. I can't keep up with all these name changes, but glad to hear that you haven't disappeared on permanent walkies, and in any event, loss of the forum's health food advisor would be a sad blow.
PS I've had to cut back on the daily walnuts you recommended a while back, as they were having a far greater impact on my waistline than my brain.
|
Walnuts are rich in phytonutrients, selenium, phosphorous, magnesium, zinc, iron, and calcium.
Walnuts provide hefty levels of Vitamins B-1, B-2, and B-3, coupled with Vitamin-E and niacin.
They are also a good source of omega-3 fats, so don't give up on em all together!
Reason for name change is that I'm more of a lurker these days.
(I prefer Pecans!)

What a load of cobblers, I eat everything I like in moderation.
I am as fit and well as a pensioner can expect to be and a hell of a lot fitter than many, pensioner or not.
|
What's load of cobblers ON? Waldorf salad?
|
He's commenting to the thread above which includes references to eating walnuts and these affecting someone's waistline.
|
Ahh - but no one was saying don't eat walnuts and ON was saying everything in moderation and replying to my post about Waldorf salad and the Balvenie 10 year old malt I'm drinking is very nice and I'm confused and going to bed.

Any left?

I hope the sideboard's ready for you. :)

What a load of cobblers, I eat and drink everything I like as much as I like.....:-)
Same result.

Sorry for the confusion CGN, I was refering to the food police who try to tell us what is good for us. I suppose extremists come in all manner of disciplines, I am an extremist ignorer of extremists. :-)
|
Can't say I've come across any 'food police' on this forum so far, ON.
