Remember the guy with the insane attention to detail and his Vauxhalls/Ford Focus.
Here's the domestic outcome...

he needs to get a
life
wife
(insert which one you think fits best)

...he needs to get a life wife...
The threads more than three year's old, so he might have both by now.

What was that thing ?
Ted

I don't know whether to be jealous or appalled that someone can have so much time on their hands ;-)
|
Just looked up that "Swissvax Mystery Wax" - appears to be about £400 per pot.

Dunno. Ask Pat? ;>)

He wants to take care he doesn't get Dyson fever. We started with one and currently have five plus one for spares... but there's always room for another if the local tip have a bargain.

On a slightly different detail subject have a look at this forum thread with brilliant images of an early 1970s Audi 100GL. I gather it has just changed hands for around £10,000 and it looks as new.
Mr F senior had one of that colour/model in 1973 and it was the car he had when I passed my test. Probably the first modern big FWD car after the previous RWD trad British cars we'd had before. It was superbly built, fast, brilliant FWD handling, powerful brakes, roomy and very economical with a sporty feeling engine. Tying in with the cassette thread it was the first vehicle I'd been in with a dealet fitted FM radio/cassette.

Pah Pah. I have two Numatic Henrys which I have no doubt will outlive me.
One in Iffy Towers and one in the caravan.

Chah to the lot of you.
We have 2 Oreck upright vacuums and a wet and dry wash vac made by someone else though i don't know where it's kept so can't tell you what make.
The Oreck's are super light and good at the job, don't want SWM getting too muscled up do i.
:-)
She can't see this, she's in the kitchen where tea is under way.

But what do you polish at the weekends then?

...But what do you polish at the weekends then?...
Henry's black hat is shiny and comes up quite well, but the rest of him is made of dull plastic.
|
I think Jimmy Carr said who thought of putting a face on something that sucks.
|
im still shocked that a detailer uses back to black
its so 1980's
|
Poo to the lot of you !
We have a cylinder vac upstairs, an upright 'oover downstairs. An upright Vax in storage in the garage.
A cylinder, still boxed, in the garage. A Henry for workshop use and a hand Dirt Devil in the caravan ( in leafy South Manchester ) Chucked a Dyson before Christmas.
|
...Chucked a Dyson before Christmas...
The few Dysons I have seen in use have all been very noisy.
Henrys are whisper quiet in comparison, which is one of the reasons hotels like 'em.
Another is the long cord, hose, and tubes, which give a very long reach from the plug - handy for lengthy hotel corridors.

There is only one Henry in my house. He uses a Sebo which has superb details.

I've used the upmarket spec Oreck just now, the headlight could be better so will try to get an HiD kit for it later, the base model doesn't have a lamp so doesn't do lighter duties...boom boom.
Due to pile shift and the shape of the roller beater underneath, it tends to drift to the left, is there anything i could do to compensate for this drifting..in silent mode, switched off, it steers straight as a die.
|
'is there anything i could do to compensate for this drifting."
Not really - perhaps you should be thinking of modding something like this with contra rotating brushes which should negate the effect Terrific spec too - might not do the domestic axminster much good though.
