I see a blood donor appeal thread has appeared at the top of the non-motoring board.
Very worthy, but it does take up room.
I've been thinking for a while the other sticky threads: terms and conditions, mod symbol, iphone app, name and shame, and the rest, could all be combined into one.
This would enhance the viewing experience by less screen scrolling, particularly on a netbook.
It would also free up space for occasional sticky threads which the management deem appropriate, such as blood donor appeals.

Yes dear - it's only there as a temporary measure - didn't want it falling down the screen - I'll tidy up tomorrow :-)

Or Burger King/MacDonalds !

That's two.
Ford could be the third.

In all seriousness don't think that there will be much point in changing anything much before the "refit" that's due soon.

Oh gloom, the prospect of a service, main dealer or independent going to screw things up?

...before the "refit" that's due soon...
If it's anything like My Drive, we'll still be waiting in a year's time.
Not that I'm complaining, a refit is sure to disrupt my little routine.

There will some tests / trial runs done first by people who regularly use the site.
Something they didn't allow us to do in the other place.
That's not to say there won't be some glitches, but hopefully 99% of them will be corrected before going live.

If this thread wasn't here to prompt me, I wouldn't have looked up at the stickies and seen the blood donor thread. :)

That's a good point - I think people are more likely to miss something if it's only in the stickies, because you don't expect them to change.
Perhaps leave in the 'normal' posts and either bump occasionally or move to sticky when it is in danger of disappearing?

OK - point taken and bullied into submission. Made a note of your views may suggest a more dynamic approach to "announcements" as and when the shopfitters arrive.
