No doubt few people have heard of Jack Lalanne this side of the pond but for those that have, here is his obituary ~

"LaLanne continued to work out for two hours a day into his 90s and adhered to a strict diet, of which one of the less repellent elements was a liquid breakfast of carrot juice, celery juice, fruit, egg whites and soyabean."
Yum. If that was one of the less repellent, what were the others?? :)

Carrot and celery, top marks, especially with a bit of tomato and beetroot too.
And lime juice. And Worcester sauce. And a big slug of vodka. He'd still be skipping about like a spring lamb if he had followed my advice.
(see my recipe for electric soup in some thread or other)

Yeah but I haven't seen any reports of you towing boats across Littlehampton Harbour with your teeth.

When I first got satellite TV I was fascinated by what I think are called 'info-mercials'.
Jack LaLanne's juicer was one of the first I watched.

And ... you formed his surname correctly, which is more than I did :)

As my GP once told me: It may not make you live forever, but it'll feel like it.
And what on earth was on the guy's head? ;>)

Shut it looseat! - he had a good head of hair ... it just wasn't his, that's all :)
|
“I can’t die,” he liked to say. “It would ruin my image.”
Well he was always on to a long term looser there then.

Losers spell it looser :)

It was a long term though - 96 ain't bad. And some of the stuff he did:
"At 70, again in handcuffs and shackles, he towed 70 boats, carrying 70 people, a mile and a half through Long Beach Harbour."
Mad.
