It's still below freezing outside, but at my work desk the thermometer reads 33°C and 18% RH.
It's a modern-ish glass-and-aluminium building, about 7 years old. Every time it's cold outside but sunny, the temperature soars well into the 30s. Being "air conditioned", there are of course no windows to open...
Absolutely useless in this day and age - so energy-inefficient and probably the cause of 'sick building syndrome'.
Is anyone else similarly-afflicted?

So what is it like in summer????? I'd put in a formal complaint that the temperature isn't within thermal comfort guidelines. Simple solution would be to fit blinds that can be pulled down on sunny days to reduce the internal temperature.

One of our offices had the same issue - the heating was controlled remotely by the Landlords either too hot or too cold - useless.

It's pretty good in summer - just the combination of cold outside air temperature and direct sunshine that has it flummoxed.

Our office is always cold on a Monday - they turn the heating off on friday, but dont turn it back on again in time to warm the place up before we arrive
We joke that that the heating is cotrolled by head office and they have no idea when to turn it on as they are so far removed from reality

My office is climate controlled. The system holds a temperature really well, but unfortunately various cretins think it will warm up faster in the morning if you set the thermostat to 30 degrees c, so we are all roasting by lunchtime. No end of memos can get it through to them that the system only has so much power, and will do its best to get to the set temp (should be 22) as fast as possible without help from human fingers.
Grrr, luddites...
