So so true.
Mrs Z got a parking charge notice for using the carpark at her quackery which had recently moved in to shared NHS offices.
Apparently you have to enter your vehicle registration number on a touch screen device once in the quackery.
Thing is, she was just dropping off her non-driving mother who has no idea about parking issues and who didn't notice the screen or instructions and there were no signs or instructions around the carpark.
Mrs Z appealed the charge and was told that there are lots of signs - there are now - but weren't when she parked, and the appeal was rejected.
So she asked for evidence of when the signs were erected and got a letter back saying that the appeal was re-investigated and allowed!

OK diner near Ludlow has the sae set up. The "greeter" never explained the small tablet that you logged into. Not a requirement, but as a courtesy to the customer. I got a penalty charge. The local news here reported that customers were being hammered at the local OK diner in Flintshire was handing out tickets like conffeti. Never darken their doors again

I recently had lunch in our local eatery where you have to enter your reg into a tablet at the bar. Some weeks later I received a £60 penalty notice and, to be honest, I am not sure if I did enter my reg or perhaps entered it wrongly. Anyway, I appealed on line and submitted a copy of my receipt, and suggested that if they checked their records they would see that I was a regular user. Success! 3 weeks later an email upholding my appeal. £60 saved!

Nipped into Aldi yesterday and noticed they had a "divide and conquer" set up for a kamado grill - nipped up the road to check the size of mine and it would fit so nipped back down to buy it.
Then noticed the parking signs on way out saying "no return within 4 hours"
Will see if I get anything in return
