She's cancelled a Christmas party for her staff, but presumambly her own Christmas activities will go on as usual.

Isnt he a Middle East envoy? What does he generate for this country in that role Rattle?

I hear he has a book and he does work for a bank. Im sure he is doing a cracking job in the Middle East for the United Nations, but please tell me what he does right now for the UK?

They are normally pretty good for encouraging technological development - the same as the "Space Programme".

Like it or not wars accelerate technological advances on many fronts, in particular military, also advances medical sciences quite dramatically. There are a number of cynics who suggest that the WW1 (for instance) was allowed to carry on purely as big businesses prospered as a result. You've only got to look at the Iraq war to see how very large American corporations did very nicely thank you. On the whole
