Bridget Jones...Help Me Please... - zippy
I thought I was being clever.

I had persuaded Mrs Z and Sister In Law to go and see the new BJ film.

That way I wouldn't have to see it.

But a woman can be willey and I have been forced, against my will you understand, to watch the first film on Friday night, the second on Saturday night and the third is tonight.

Please send help!

You stupid boy Pike.

BJ is Bridget Jones ?
That’s different.
 Adolescence - Netflix - Bobby
For once in our lives, the missus and I have actually watched a Netflix within days of it being released. We are usually a year later….

Loved this show, the underlying message and the one take filming which is stunning in its execution.

I do like Steven Graham as an actor but the young lad was brilliant.

For those that have watched it, there are some explainers on YouTube and Netflix have also done a Q&A on Twitter.
 Adolescence - Netflix - smokie
Bingeing it - watched two tonight and will complete it tomorrow. It is good and the filming method is so clever but it does make for some slightly slow and rather dull bits. Apparently some of the crew were made up as extras in case they inadvertently came into a shot.
 Department Q - Manatee
On Netflix. 9 episodes. Best think we've watched in months. Bit of a slow starter but excellent.
 Department Q - smokie
Yep, literally just finished episode 9 and thoroughly enjoyed it. A bit Slow Horses-like in concept.

Although without the persistent swearing it could have been 8 or less episodes :-)

I'm sure there'll be another series. At least I hope there will.
House of Guinness (Netflix) - Manatee
All the reviews seemed to mention Peaky Blinders and the first episode of HoG looked like a spoof version. I wrote it off. However I was persuaded to persist and it has got more watchable.

Give it a go but be prepared to hate the first episode.

I don't find much to watch on Netflix. Everything seems to be made with quotas of psychological angst, jeopardy, sex and violence. This is no exception but after 5 episodes I do actually want to know what happens next.
 Celebrity Traitors - Zero
Surprised no-one has mentioned Celebrity Traitors. Don't watch the normal one because it brings out the worst of people and they become hateful.

Celebrity traitors was different, and the ending was must see television

 Celebrity Traitors - ChrisM
Haven't watched the normal programme, but watched the celebrity version. Unlike the usual "celebrity" editions of various shows, this one actually had people I'd heard of. I think there were only three unknowns (to me). Enjoyed.it.

And a very good episode it was. What do you think of the series Zero?
 Down Cemetary Road - Zero
Its Ok, watchable, but I think it appeared too quickly after Slow horses, to which it will be naturally compared, and afraid it falls short on plot and characterisation. Not seen 4 yet.

Yes its not up to the quality and entertainment level as "Slow Horses" but to be fair few series are.

Have enjoyed it though and I think it has improved as the series progresses. Perhaps its me but my main criticism is that the humour jars somewhat with the main plank of the story which is about the abduction of a child. Doesn't seem to fit well somehow.

Arena - Ford Cortina - Crankcase
Just in case anyone didn’t see this the first time round in the early eighties, iPlayer has a load of Arena documentaries from over the years, including this one about the Ford Cortina.

It’s not very good, but very nostalgic. If you don’t take to Alexei Sayle, steer clear.

I remember it, I cannot abide Alexei Sayle in any format, and he ruined it.
