I went to see “One Battle after Another by Paul Thomas Anderson at the weekend. The best film I have seen for a long while and surely in the running for an Oscar. Stars Leonard de Caprio as an old hippy and Sean Penn as the wonderfully named Colonel Steven J Lockjaw a racist ambitious commander working in immigration control. Penn’s performance is brilliant. Lockjaw will be remembered,

The plot is completely chaotic, it’s very funny at times and it’s very relevant to Trump’ s America. The music score is up there with the best.

If you like Cinema not to be missed.
 Penguin Lessons - Manatee
Probably not such high art, but the 'flicks in the sticks' village hall film on Friday was 'Penguin Lessons'.

Starring Steve Coogan as an English teacher in Argentina when the generals took over, it's a feel-good film. Good entertainment.

Went to see “I Swear”, story about Scottish guy with Tourette’s. Some of you may remember a QED program about him when Tourette’s was really brought to the public’s attention.
Absolutely brilliant.
From splitting your sides laughing to almost being in tears.

Thoroughly recommend it.
