I’ve never been on one, but have seen one advertised locally where I am currently in Spain.
€40… 7 wines from regions around Spain, cheese & charcuterie. 2.5 hours in the evening.
Without knowing how much mosh you get, or wine quantity..is it worth risking ?
I’m currently quaffing Albariño & Godello at around €6/9 a bottle…and Alhambra beer at €1 litre ( on offer).

I’ve been to tastings in U.K. where a local restaurant pairs wines with each course and has a wine wholesaler talking about each wine. Far from there being pressure to buy, none is actually on sale. It’s a good night.
We also went to one on a holiday to Lake Como. It was aimed at tourists but the wine expert was fantastic and we had a wonderful afternoon. You could buy but no pressure.
Of course my experience has no direct bearing on what might be on offer to you in Spain but I’d give it a go. If it sweetens the pill, maybe you can relate it to cost it in U.K. terms where restaurants routinely charge £25 plus for a bottle. My bet would be that, especially if it’s aimed at locals, it’ll be very good value………you know you want to.

We had a few wine tasting evenings in the village when somebody's dad was a wine merchant.
Always great fun. Typically we would get 3 wines to taste with each 'course', an appropriate snack being provided. Most of us were walking home, many did so in a 'state'.
We're planning a Picos de Europa and Douro Valley motoring tour later this year. It includes 3 nights here www.monverde.pt/en/
which I expect to involve some tasting. They might be disappointed at how little wine we will be able to fit in an MX-5 packed for 11 nights away.

Just visited both places…camped two nights on a lovely site at Penafiel in the Duero valley whilst en route to meet my walking group in Ojedo ( adjacent to Potes in the Picos) for 8 nights in the hotel Infantado.
Penafiel castle is closed Monday…lots of wine merchants in the town, castle is amazing and if you get the chance there is a lovely walk from Penafiel, initially following a tributary of the Duero, which then flows into it, to the village of Pesquera de Duero. I sat in the square opposite Town Hall & church, drank beer, then retraced my steps. Heavily wooded along the Duero with an amazing amount of bird song.
Happy to advise on places to stay, visit and walk in those places.
Heading north from CBlanca Friday, staying over at Casa Marisa in San Asensio, just south of Haro ( Rioja Country) before ferry home Saturday from Bilbao.
Plenty of room in Vitara for 18 litres vino & 4 litres spirits.

Should have said Duero valley east of Valladolid in Espana…presume it’s the same river which flows into Portugal ?

Sounds expensive unless the wines are in the €20+/bottle bracket. Don't the individual vineyards have free tastings for potental purchasers?

It was an excellent evening.
Introductory talk by Martha, who owns Martha’s Vineyard wine merchants in Moraira. She illustrated, via a map, the different regions in Spain and their topography, climate etc, resulting in the different wines.
Cava to start, then 5 wines, all from small producers with limited output. Cheapest was an Albariño at €10 bottles, most expensive a red at €35. Good quantities of vino. No messing. Finished with a super smooth liquor which I cannot remember after 5 large glasses.
Plenty of food… various cheeses & charcuterie, plus hot top ups of grub on bread served by the sommelier’s assistant.
Good value & educational to boot.
