After a week on the northern CBlanca, straight off the ferry from Bilbao (11 relaxing hours inc a splendid lunch on the scenic route) I returned north to the Picos.
Nine days based at a hotel in Potes with my CB walking group. Walking daily, often up rough tracks initially…never have I seen so many old Landcruisers, both SWB & LWB. Every farm or hamlet we pass through seems to have one or more.
Surprised to see so many original Mk1 Discovery’s in the valleys.
Back to the CBlanca soon, a 4 day trip, again avoiding motorways, staying overnight in Avila, Toledo & Cuenca in that order.
Then beach bum time until I head north again and sail home from Bilbao mid June

My local indie, now sadly retired as he was brilliant, is nearly finished a nuts and bolts restoration of a Landcruiser. He is fanatically thorough in all his work as he was for customers, and it looks like it has just come out of the showroom.
