I'm sure someone on here posted a link to a film clip where a man accidentally drops litter only to be photographed by a citizen who sends it into the authorities. A world where citizens are basically 'grassing' up other citizens for the minor infringements.
I've searched and Googled but cant find it. I could do with a link please for another forum.

I recall that there was some chat about a police officer caught dropping litter.

Bad luck for getting caught by someone who wanted to make a big deal out of it.

No it wasn't that one Zippy it was a proper film set in a dystopian time in the future. Bit 1984 ish.

I've a vague recollection of what Fullchat mentions but no idea what the folk was.

In my mind grassing someone up involves dobbing in one's co-perpetrators; turning King's evidence if you like.

Filming and reporting somebody fly tipping a couple of mattresses and a worn out sofa in a layby is a different cup of tea.

All for that Bromp. The film related to someone accidently dragging out a piece of paper or handkerchief from their pocket and driving away not realising. A nosy old snitch seized on the moment and photographed the car and the litter. He suffered the consequences.

Thing is are we getting there?

>>are we getting there...

A normal person would have been "sir, we've found your walking stick. Would you like to collect it."

There was a case inside the m25 where a van driver was done for not having a waste transfer licence. He was carrying the empty remains of his Tesco Meal Deal or similar. It's bureaucracy gone made like the film Brazil. But don't Tweet about it or they'll lock you up.

Meanwhile, in retaliation, whilst filming in public is legal, organisations need to post notices and detail who the Data Handling Officer is. The OAP should sue the sods for not complying with GDPR and leaking the pick to the papers. :-)
