Every 6 months I have to adjust the BMW clock to BST / GMT because its an hour out. Every 6 months I have to tick the "adjust clock automatically" option. Every 6 months the option is set "off" when I check. Reply to this message | Report message

My CH/HW programmer does it automatically without being connected to the WWW. Pretty sure PCs were doing it based on calendar before the 'net too. You'd switch on and be presented with a question that it though DST had started/ended and the correct time was 08:00 and a Y/N as to whether that was right. Reply to this message | Report message

I still have to tick the box to make the change although mine doesn't indicate it's automatic - I do wonder as my DAB radio indoors can do it without me touching it why cars can't do the same. Reply to this message | Report message

My little Smart has an analogue clock atop the dash as a feature. It's quite amusing on first start after clock change to see the hands whizz round forward or backwards to the new hour. Reply to this message | Report message

I have a Phillips radio / iPod dock thing in the bedroom that takes its time from some sort of over the air signal (too old to be WiFi) The time is never accurate on it. Always seems to be about 10 mins fast. Can’t fathom it out why! Reply to this message | Report message

Cars, clock on my desk and two Sony travel radios are the ones we remember every time. Mrs B has a Lumi alarm clock/radio which also brings on a gradually increasing bedside light in the morning . The radio is digital but the clock needs re-setting manually!! Reply to this message | Report message

...on earlier models there was a switch just behind the ear, which needed a sharp tap to activate it. Unfortunately, due to safety concerns it was deleted from later models... ;-) Reply to this message | Report message
