Many would have heard of his death, it was recently revealed that he took his own life.
It now turns out, he jumped in front of a train at Esher railway station.
Now I understand he wasn't rational at the time, but to tragically, possible permanently affect the lives of uninvolved others in doing so is unforgivable.

I think we need to do more, a lot more, to help those tragically and possibly permanently affected in cases like this.
Once convinced 'topping yourself' is the only solution to your pain then I think you're beyond the point of thinking. It could be train driver, and platform bystanders or the people who see you swinging from a rafter or fish you're decomposed remains from the river.

I know someone who seems to be going down this path. They don't want to accept help and we don't know what to do, perhaps, just wait?

I suggest you should be prepared to be more proactive. Waiting could result in tragedy.
People can be sectioned if they are a risk to themselves.

Please do something. The person may harm themselves. They may also harm others.
