I just clicked on an advert in the right column and was taken to a site comparing various means of converting one's engine to run on a mizture of petrol and water (roughlt speaking)
Quote
"Discover How To Convert Your Car or Truck To USE Water And Gasoline, To Double, Even Triple Your Mileage!
This is not new technology. We’ve been using water to gas converters in our vehicles for over 4 years. This is proven technology. Using a simple device, you can use the electricity from your battery to separate water (H2O) into a gas known as HHO. HHO is two parts Hydrogen and 1 part Oxygen. HHO is a supercharged gas that burns effectively and produces significant energy, greatly improving your fuel economy. Incredibly, the waste product is water!
This is very easy to do, we will show you exactly how! We've taken an almost century old suppressed technology, updated it and simplified it using local hardware store parts and created an effective, affordable and simple device. Our water conversion guide will show you exactly how. This system is very easy to install and requires very little maintenance. Plus, it works on all vehicle types."
I have never heard of HHO, has anyone else?

This one's has been around the clock a few times.
|
We had someone trying to tell it worked: like eternal motion engines work.. on HJ about 1? year ago..
Needless to say there's a conspiracy to hide the discovery in order to prevent Americans driving 7 litre cars, do 5mpg and pay $0.25 a gallon....
|
I was under the impression that the amount of energy required to break water into H+H+O made it unfeasible, i.e. it required more energy then you could then recover by burning the hydrogen.
|
"Ah yes, no I meen, burning HHO in the COMBUSTION process inhunces the BURN RATE and increases the POWER of your ENGINE by MASSIVE and unfeasible amounts whilst enshoring your GAS MILEAGE will INCREASE and GURLS will fall at yore FEET wnen you tell them about our FANTASTIC product"
|
To be fair, it actually does most things they claim around the benefits to the combustion process.
Only problem is the energy source (car battery -> alternator -> crankshaft -> petrol) to make it all work :-)
|
Even if it *did*, which I disagree with, the numbers still don't add up.
|
Does the small print say that it is meant for trolley busses so that it can be permanently connected to the national grid?
|
I know that most of the time your jokes pass over my head but I think I've got this one.
Is it a veiled reference to Viagra?
