Will this mean that EG sites will price fuel at Supermarket level?

It will mean the |EG garages will sell Asda own brand alongside branded goods.

Pricing of food etc in my local Tesco Esso garage outlets are higher than the Tesco "High St" outlets which again are more expensive than the large Tesco stores.

EG & Asda were both highly leveraged operations needing a higher margins to cover the £Billions they owe.

Merging them will bring savings over time BUT with interest rates rising Both Asda & Morrisons will feel the pain.
