We've used our local branch a lot. Very pleasant staff. They even signposted me to their charity site when I was buying stuff for the Foodbank's project.

IIRC the original Screwfix founder moved on to found Toolstation before selling that business out to Travis Perkins. Met him once in the early days.

Tip for regular users, get Electrifix membership - no queues, coffee and chocolate biscuits! Although I find Toolsstation staff to be better.

Thank you for the offer, but I can use the Weybridge one (3.4 miles away, driving past the burned out shell of Screwfix Byfleet 2.1 miles away) Thats going to add 8 minutes to my return journey. the country is going to pot.

There is also Woking Screwfix 4.1 miles away. Thats the other side of the world.
