I was in Mercedes-Benz at Brooklands a few days ago (just thinking about it) and their used car area is half empty.

Autotrader a while back had over 500,000 cars for sale, it's now down to less than 400,000.

1956, that's the era of the Vauxhall E type. A friend had one that the back end collapsed, leaving the back seat passengers supporting the body on their backs - horrendous things!

I get that it is a difference, but I'm not sure it is a significant or important difference. I don't think one can read much into it without understanding the changing profile of available car and/or of prospective buyer.
