Betterment doesn't really work very well with repairs, it's more suited to cheques. e.g. "we're deducting £50 from your payout because the tyre on your total loss car was almost worn out".

With repairs the typical response is to simply insist on being put back where one was, which results in a cheque, which results in half price repairs, which results in a car highly likely to suffer similar claims in the future.
