Just a heads up, as I've just done this and it worked. Today, go to your account on Amazon, then gift card balance, and (if your account is eligible I guess) there's a banner at the top offering an extra £7 if you top up with £50.
Click that, top up with £50, looks like it does nothing but in a few minutes you get a confirmation email and indeed your balance is now £57.
Always happy with a bit of free money. Might as well get something out of Prime day.

I ordered an Echo Show yesterday so the Prime Day promotion worked on me I suppose. As it happened I also needed a new Philips toothbrush and there was £20 off that too.
