One does what one can in the colonies.

This particular chap is rather a lover of the American style of alcohol. And since one of us raced around in a little wooden boat with big engines and one of us didn't, I tend to defer.

My father was in the far east when this happened. He was RAF and in Hong Kong, and yes he was in a hotel with a pool. He had a reasonable war, when I spoke to him at his care home recently he still has "issues" with "his" war.
