The side bar adds that pop up on here from time to time are weird, I cant find any of my browsing history that leads to some of them

I don't see adverts anywhere else, and when I do I put effort into avoiding/blocking them.

But I've whitelisted this place, seems a small price to pay.

Curious now so I've whitelisted this site on my ad blockers.

So far mostly bike/car related including one for Brompton. Latter no surprise just been googling an issue with my folding pedal and upgraded cranks.

I'll see what pops up.

On my PC I use Firefox with AdBlocker Ultimate - no adds.
On my phone I use Firefox on its own and get adds. They used to be for things I'd bought or searched for. At the moment they're for Saxo Markets and HPL Motors.

This site is whitelisted on Safari, blocked on Chrome. The adds on this site are not obtrusive or resource hungry. I clickthrough at times.

After a few more days it's mostly Brompton, Rohan, various car things and purveyors of electrical cables. The latter is not surprising as I've been replacing/installing shaver lights in both bathrooms and (a) needed some stuff and (b) googled the function and impedance of a hank of co-ax I found in my 'useful electrical stuff' box. As suspected it's TV rather than hobby radio stuff.

Linn hi-fi not too surprising either as The Lad' has purchased a turntable (not Linn but quite pricey) and I was looking stuff up for him.

The outlier is cosmetics from an outfit called Lookfantastic.

A New Year oddity.

The right hand ad, above the latest posts list, was replaced by a message: This ad used too many resources for your device, so Chrome removed it.

Don't know which ad it was as the event occurred while I was downstairs sorting out a cuppa.

PC spec is:

Radeon A10 9700
8GB Ram
Radeon R7 Graphics.

Just had one for MS365 in what I'm pretty sure was Spanish.

I've had ads in French while in that country but I'm currently at home.
