Ever since I have had the phone, an iPhone 11, I have had a problem with the pause control when listening to any audio output. It will pause ok but around 30 seconds later it automatically restarts. Quite annoying Any ideas?

Have you downloaded the latest version of IOS, in case it a bug that's now been fixed

Have you tried a force reset see if that'll solve it?
1.Quickly press and release the volume up button.
2.Quickly press and release the volume down button.
3.Press and hold the Power button (on the other side) until you see the Apple logo.

Yes done that. Thinking of tryiing full factory reset

Have you thought of getting an Android? :-)

Been there. Nothing against Android. I moved to Apple mainly because of the integrated compatibility with my hearing aids. That said the iPhone 11 is a great phone and the camera is truly amazing. It’s just this one glitch I find quite annoying. Once sorted the iPhone be pretty perfect.

Try turning off Siri temporarily, to see if Siri is picking up a voice command similar to telling the phone to start playback again.

You might be on to something. I’ve turned off Siri and it seems OK at the moment. Can’t recall any speech or noise when I’ve had this problem though.

I get random pauses when listening to podcasts on BBC Sounds

I get random pauses, but I think that's due to age.
