Summer Steam Specials - legacylad

First of the season passed through Settle late morning en route to Carlisle. I’d just called in at the station to obtain a timetable for a midweek soirée to Lancaster from Giggleswick and noticed a few dozen folks loitering.
A big steam engine number 70000 with a diesel at the rear. Not a very nice day for it...fairly low cloud and drizzle, but always nice to see close up.
Not sure I can be assed walking 20 mins to see its return through Settle when I have a great view of over half a mile of line from my place.
A bit of normality which is good
