Ford Kuga - 14 1.6 Daytime running lights - Bobby

Asking for a friend - sometimes her car seems to have the front foglights lit as DRLs and other times its the single bulb in the headlamps that is on.

Going to see the car at the weekend but I am thinking that one may be just an unlocking car lights until the engine is started.

Anyone know by chance?

Has she accidentally switched the side lights on?

Whenever the headlights are on, DRLs are supposed to dim down (as no one wants bright DRLs at night time), or maybe they are switched off totally.

On both our cars (Berlingo and Fabia) led running lights come on with ignition at 'run'. Both extinguish them if sidelights are selected. I never drive on sides, if lights are needed it's dipped beam but that's how both work.

In both cars DLR function can be turned off in the screen menu.
