Hyundai i10 - 09 1.2 automatic noises - slowdown avenue

could be any auto. just started making a low rumbling noise when moving off fast after a long stop, noise could last for 10 minutes then not reoccur for a few hours if driven gently. fluid level ok but on low side. 71000miles 9 years old. bearing type noise. at first the noise stopped when in neutral. car runs perfectly ok no warning lights. anybody been here before

What colour is the auto fluid?

IIRC, it should resemble a translucent sort of cherryade colour. If it's brown and dirty, it needs changing.

fluid looks clean . but has just reached its service interval.

today the noise only started briefly when I attempted to boot the gas pedal. quickly reduced pressure and all was well again. not been able to get under car with it making the racket, yet. Hoping it could be something else .

I know think its an alternator bearing. put my ear to gear stick and can really feel it through there.
